All proceeds from the events will be donated to hunger relief efforts in Clark County via the Clark County Food Bank. Your participation in the Turkey Trot makes a significant difference in the lives of Clark County residents.
The race course is beautiful, starting and ending at Klineline Pond in Vancouver. You will run/walk along the gorgeous Salmon Creek Trail, which is a mix of paved and un-paved portions of trail. The path will meander through areas of forest and open meadow. Mike markers will be clearly displayed on the course. This course is not intended to provide you with your fastest finish time; but it will certainly be pleasing on the eyes.
This is a chip timed event, limited to a field of 1,200 participants. Some light food and refreshments will be available before and after the race, including coffee, bagels, donuts and bananas at the finish. Clif Bar has made a very special donation to this event and will provide treats for the run. Porta-potties will be available, and a water station with First Aid will be available at the 10k turnaround on the course. Awards will occur after the event for race winners and costumes winners.
The Annual Piñata for Kids will start just before 10 a.m., and the Polar Bear Swim will start at 10 a.m. There is no pre-registration required for these events - all are welcome to participate.
Please register early (no race day registration), as the 1,200 field limit may be reached prior to registration ending on November 22. Also, be sure to register by November 11 for your t-shirt, which is included in the price of registration, which is $25 for all race distances. Parking is free, but limited, so please be good to the environment and car pool if possible. Packet pick-up will occur Wednesday, November 27th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clark County Food Bank (look for an e-mail after you register with additional details).
