The 25K trail run features an out-and-back course, beginning and ending at Peavy Arboretum (McDonald Forest), at the Forestry Cabin. This is very close to Corvallis, Oregon. You’ll be treated to a perfect mix of logging roads and single track trails for your race. Familiar with the popular Mac 50K or 15K races? If so, you will feel at home, as portions of the Condor 25K cover sections of the Mac races. Not a fan of excessive vertical gains? No worry, you will be climbing and descending about 2,600’ total. The most significant, sustained climb begins at approximately mile 3, and ends right after mile 5. Then you are home free with the majority of the race having mild ascents with a dramatic decent at mile ~9 and again on your home stretch to the finish line.
Bringing the support crew to help you with this race? Not to worry, your crew can meet you at aid station 2, the 9.5 mile mark, located at Lewisburg Saddle. Aid stations 1 and 3 are located a miles 6.3 and 13.3 respectively.
A portion of the proceeds from the Condor 25K trail run will be donated to Dave “Condor” Bateham’s immediately family, with the remaining proceeds going to Oregon State University’s ‘Research Forest’ fund. This fund does amazing work for trail maintenance and construction of brand new trails.
